Thrift haul~~ thrifting together with my best friend!

Hello everyone!

Its time for another thrifting haul~ As you might have noticed I got thrifting... A LOT. But Im also working on a fairy kei thrifting guide. I want to make it reaaaally big. Itll take a while to complete though since Im not really the best writer in the world and I want to make it understandable ^^'' But ofcourse Itll be posted here once its done.

This is a sweater I found a few days ago. It's a perfect 80's style sweater so I couldn't leave it behind despite the fact its REALLY big on me. The black writing says ' sport is an art'.

This is a castle I found while thrifting with my best friend! Its soooo pretty and the lights and music still work! Im happy to have found a pretty house for all my ponies.

The other side

Ponies having fun

Another gem! I actually uhm... found her body first xD But I managed to find her head too so now I only have to glue it so it stops falling of. Ive wanted Lady Lovely Locks for a while now and I can't believe I found her for only 25 cents!

And a small doll that also belongs to the lady lovely locks serie. Her colour scheme is gorgeous.

This cute fairy! She has a clip on the backside so you could clip her to your clothes or bag. Maybe even your hair but she is quite heavy.

And at last this adorable G2 My little pony box!

And the next items we're things I found today ^^

This cute pastel coloured teddy bear! I love his shirt.

Ofcourse couldn't resist this one xD I love unicorns!

This is a... milky peko bag? Im not sure but I recognized it because Ive seen it on the internet a few times so I figured I should just take it with me.

And that was everything from the past few days/past week! I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope I can finish my thrifting guide soon!

International Harajuku Fashion Walk in the Netherlands ( And a shop list! )

Sooo maybe some of you knew about it, or even went to one, but this weekend was the international harajuku fashion walk!
To explain in short: Well known harajuku fashion icons from japan wanted to decide on a harajuku fashion walk that would be held in as many countries as possible! And this weekend ( 25&26 july) was decided as the date.

And the Netherlands joined too so I obviously went, with my best friend, and we made a lot of photos.

The walk started at 13:30 so we didn't have to wake up really early and could take our time dressing up and having poptarts for breakfast haha

My make up and hair for the day! Sadly you can't see most of my hairclips here but you can kiiiiinda see my big unicorn hairclip on my head. Which is really important because I was going for a unicorn themed outfit!

Thyra interrupting my selfie time.

Then we went to the bus stop, where Thyra took this fabulous photo of me.

Waiting for the bus~~

Ofcourse I had to take my unicorn bag for my unicorn themed outfit

getting close with the local bear statue

Aaand two photos I made of the group we walked with! I didn't take much photos because I was too busy walking and admiring everyones outfit.

But here is one of the group photos ( not mine)! Making up for the fact I hardly took any at all.

It was really so much fun to talk with everyone and everyone was so nice! I had an amazing time and there were lots of interested people who wanted to know why we were dressed like this. I really hope there will be another fashion walk!

☆ 30 Day Fairy Kei Challenge START!☆ day 20

☆ Day twenty: What do you see in Fairy-Kei in general in the next 5 years?

First of all, sorry ( again) for not posting for so long, a lot of stuff happened ( fun stuff luckily) so I didn't have time to post anything. Good thing is that I have a lot of material for new posts!

But lets get on with the challenge:

Hmm Im not really good at predicting styles or anything, but I really really really hope from the deepest of my heart that fairy kei will get more popular and that there will be as big of a community as lolita!

Sorry for the kinda boring post!

☆ 30 Day Fairy Kei Challenge START!☆ day 19

☆ Day nineteen: 5 of your favourite toys.

Oooh my gosh this is going to be so hard xD To narrow it down a bit, Ill be only using toys from my own collection!

1. Starcastles & Polly pocket

YES I TOTALLY CHOSE TWO FOR NUMBER 1 JFLKSJFKLSD
But theyre both cute small pastel coloured glitter houses so they can count as one right? ;__;

I used to have polly pockets when I was a kid ( mom why did you throw them away )  but sadly I never had starcastles... I would've loved them. I just love tiny glittery dollhouses ^^

2. Lady Lovely Locks

A pretty recent obsession since I got my first ones not so long ago. I just love how magical their hair and clothes look!

3. Popples

Not sure what to say about these, theyre just really cute and fun coloured. And a bit derpy hehe.

4. My Little Pony

Who doesn't love these candy coloured ponies? I have about 20-30 of them but Minty is one of my favorite!

5. Sky Dancers

Sadly this is the only one I have, And its one of the newer ones ( but it had a pegasus so I couldnt resist). I really love those but I have the idea I should keep them far away from my boyfriend...

Of course I couldn't list all of the toys I own and love ( I also have unicorn plushies, my 80's  fake carebears, monster high dolls, and some random cute toys) and there are a lot of toys I adore but don't own yet ( like moondreamers, twinkle bears and brush a loves)

Im sorry I can't post these everyday! I recently got a job so I have a lot less time!

Fairy Kei DIY: T-Shirt Applique

Hello everyone!

In my latest thrift haul there was one thing I didn't show you, because I wanted it to show you in this DIY blogpost. I found a really cute t-shirt with cakepops on it. Only problem, It was childs size. So I made it into a cute fairy kei shirt!

Materials used:

Cakepop Kids: €0,50
Blue shirt: €3,50
Lilac Lace: €0,80

Total: €4,80

First I cut out the picture and sewed the lace on ( this was pretty annoying to do) and then sewed it on the shirt! So easy!

And this was the result! I think its really really cute, although I might add some bows later.

I hope I could inspire you with this, remember to also look at the kids section when thrifting, you never know!~

Small Thrift Haul and some random talking

Hello!

I hope you are all having a great week so far. My week has been going well so far. I recently got a job so I have less free time ^^'' ( it's a fun job though!). Also the weather has been kind of nice so I had a lot of chances to wear skirts. I have also orderd a few things that I'm really excited about and can't wait till they're here. But let's get on to what I managed to find this week!

Bags~

I was really in need for some new bags and it seemed that someone heard my wish! My unicorn bag is adorable but it doesn't fit so much but is still pretty big. That is all solved now because I found a big messenger bag that I can use for school and a really small bag that fits only the most important things.

The hello kitty bag sparkles! It was  REALLY dirty when I bought it but because of that the lady sold it to me for a really low price ( 50 cents). You could say it was literally dirt cheap hehehe.
I actually didn't think I would be able to clean it as much as I did. The front was all stained and the back was even worse, now it's  clean ( but still signs that it has been used).

The marsmallow one was the complete opposite, It still had all it's tags and has never been used. And not only is it a small handy bag, it is also a cooling bag, meaning that I can keep my drink nice and cold in it! perfect for summer.

Some random stuff

I got this blue plastic My Little Pony box ( left)  that I already have in pink ( right).
But the reason I bought it in blue wasn't the box but what was inside it.

The reason for buying it were these adorable hairclips! The shooting star one is my absolute favorite! Im wearing it right now <3

And the last things I found were this My Little Pony and this mint necklace.

I hope you enjoyed!

☆ 30 Day Fairy Kei Challenge START!☆ day 18

☆ Day eighteen: How do you dress when you go to school?

Most of my outfit photos are from me going to school. It's pretty pointless for me to dress all up to take a photo and then change my clothes to go out haha.

☆ 30 Day Fairy Kei Challenge START!☆ day 17

☆ Day seventeen: Do you dress in also another style, e.g. Lolita.

I do! I've mentioned it a few times that besides fairy kei I also dress in gothic ( two very different styles haha). I also have some lolita dresses but today Ill talk about my goth style.

I've actually liked goth since I was about... 6 I think? I saw some girl at my church wearing it and I totally loved it! But later in my life I tend to go more for the emo/scene look and it's only been since maybe 2 years that I actually started to create my own goth style.

My goth style is very influenced by lolita fashion but shouldn't be mistaken for it! I like to go for a cutesy creepy doll style which means I borrow a lot from lolita fashion but my skirts tend to be shorter and I obviously dont follow the lolita rules ( I dont cover my shoulders at all times, I dont always wear a dress or skirt, I wear different kind of shoes etc etc).

I don't take a lot of pictures of my goth style ( but I should take more) but here are a few.

Its pretty simple since I tend to go for all-black outfits.

This was one for a really hot summer day

For some reason both these pictures were taking before I put on my socks :') I wore black OTK socks with the first outfit and short white ones with the second one.

woa blurry bonus pic from a long time ago

So thats the other style I dress in when Im not wearing fairy kei. For some reason a lot of people assume goth clothing is my 'angry style' for when Im in a bad mood? Like one time a lady who lived in my neighbourhood just started to explain to her children that I usually wore coloured clothing but today I was in a bad mood so I wore black?? Without asking?? So obviously I told her she was wrong. Both these styles make me very happy when wearing them and they do not have any influence on my mood or whatever.

Thank you for reading!

☆ 30 Day Fairy Kei Challenge START!☆ day 16

☆ Day sixteen: How did you dress before Fairy-Kei?

I actually dressed up in emo/alternative clothes. And I know how everyone always jokes about their emo and scene phase and how embarassing it was but I dont think it was. I might not like the clothes as much as I did then but I dressed exactly how I wanted on that point and I was happy and that is what was most important.

Okay but here is a photo >w<

I miss my pink hair... * sigh*
I used to wear those goggles a lot and people would always say I looked like ramona flowers.
I dont think it was just a phase that went away though, it just transformed into something else. I have always loved cute clothes ( high socks, fluffy skirts, the colour pink and cute characters) and darker clothes ( elegant, black, lace, lolita-like clothes) but I used to put that into one style and that was this. After that I split it up in my fairy kei wardrobe ( cute clothes) and my gothic clothing ( darker elegant clothes).

Never be ashamed of a time you were happy
